Creek Run Raises Over $7,900 for the Friends of the Limberlost
Creek Run hosted the 11th Annual James Peterson Memorial Fish Fry & Cornhole Tournament on August 4, 2017. This is a charity event held every year in August for Creek Run employees, family, clients, and contractors. All funds raised from this event were donated to the Friends of the Limberlost, which was a charity near and dear to our friend James Peterson. James Peterson was the former owner of Jay Petroleum and was one of the original founders of Creek Run. Creek Run raised a record amount this year of $7,952!
A staple of the event each year is the fish fry lunch. All fish are caught, cleaned, and prepared by Creek Run’s very own Mike Zimmerman. Features of the event this year included a 5K run/walk on Creek Run’s Stewardship Trail located in the woods next to our office (including a 1 mile kids race), a car/motorcycle cruise-in, golf chipping game, silent auction, cake walk, sports memorabilia raffle, bounce house, nature scavenger hunt and presentation, and, of course, the cornhole tournament!
Thank you for attending and contributing to this annual event. We hope to see you all next year!
