Nellie Peffley is a Project Manager at Creek Run and has been employed at Creek Run since April 2012. Nellie earned a B.S. in Environmental Science from University of Saint Francis (Fort Wayne) in 2011. She has completed the OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training and attends yearly 8-hour refresher courses. Nellie is certified by the State of Indiana in underground storage tank (UST) decommissioning (certification #UC201410279). Nellie is responsible for assisting with soil borings/classification and well installation and has also overseen multiple UST closures. Nellie has experience in the development and implementation of Corrective Action Progress Reports, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), UST Closure, Initial Site Characterization, Further Site Investigation, and Closure Strategy reports.
Prior to joining Creek Run, Nellie worked as an intern with the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) at Loblolly Marsh Nature Preserve in Geneva, Indiana. She was also an intern at Little River Wetlands in Fort Wayne, Indiana. After her internships, Nellie was temporarily employed with Shirley Heinze Land Trust in Michigan City, Indiana where she gained experience performing prescribed burns. Nellie’s experience also includes invasive species removal from wetlands, woodlands, and prairies.
Nellie enjoys running, spending time with family and friends, and exploring nature.
