At Work: Mason has extensive experience in groundwater monitoring and sampling; oversight of soil boring advancement and monitoring well installations; soil characterization, screening, and sampling; surveying and developing monitoring wells; assessing and containing petroleum product spills associated with environmental emergencies; and Phase I ESA site reconnaissance. Mason oversees a variety of projects relating to the investigation of petroleum products and hazardous substances, including groundwater flow and contaminant plume map generation, trend analysis of groundwater analytical data, and technical report writing associated with Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessment (ESA), Initial Site Characterization, Further Site Investigation, Vapor Intrusion Investigation, Underground Storage Tank Closure, No Further Action Request, and Quarterly Monitoring Reports.

Education: B.S.Ed. in Secondary Education, Earth & Space Science with a minor in Geology – Indiana University—Purdue University Fort Wayne

Certifications and Training:

  • Licensed Professional Geologist (#2698) in the state of Indiana.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training
  • First Aid and CPR certified
